For the past 24 years Renju Ramesh has been part of the animation industry, working with some of the top animation studios in India, holding various titles, as the Creative Director, Head-APAC Division, Consulting Creative Head, Supervisory Director, Preproduction director at different stages of his career. Starting his professional journey in the industry in 2000 at the Layout division of Toonz Animation India, he moved on to work in storyboarding, Design & story Development, Episodic Direction & then on to Creative direction & head of development for many of the animated series, both domestic & international.
Functioning as Head of the APAC division he oversaw the directors & producers of all domestic Projects & collaborated with partner studios/broadcasters in India to execute projects that ran successfully across many seasons. As Consulting Creative Director at Prayan Animation Studio, Studio CCA & TMEFX he guided the team in executing projects for their international & domestic clients. At his recent stint at Toonz he functioned as the Created head of the harmony division, directing some of their international pitch projects, special shorts, teasers & test works.
In 2018 he joined back Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd as the Creative Director, overseeing the harmony division and a few International co-productions and shorts.
From Oct 2020 onwards he is been working as a Creative consultant (freelance), directing & supervising the storyboarding & preproduction development for upcoming Tv series and movie projects.
